Curious to know what is wrong with the penny. Double struck? Grease filled? Just getting started on collecting so any help would be appreciated. Also wondering if it may be of some value.

Looks like DDD, split plate doubling, and a grease-filled die (on LIBERTY), but not sure that there is an added premium.

Everything Spence called out plus one more thing, Plating Disturbance Doubling, that can often be seen with split plate doubling. See how close the pics in the link look to your coin.
