Petespockets55 Pillar of the Community United States 5797 Posts	Posted 07/01/2023 07:24 am You took some really nice images of MD. For me, the best example of MD on your coin is the top of the "S" (TRUST). There is a line through the top of the "S" which is creating the doubling effect. Also notice that the top curve is only about half as thick as the lower curve where this line occurs. When people say that with Mechanical Doubling (MD) the devices are reduced, your images are a really nice example of that. The top of the "S" is reduced in thickness. Mechanical Doubling occurs to the coin, a doubled die occurs to the die and is transferred to the coin. Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
