Looked at the D on this coin and there might doubling
Mabye the n too ,not sure .i took the pic in natural light I hope it helped

The mm looks like it has just taken a circulation hit.
You cannot have doubling on the mm as they were hand punched into the die.
Also a DD is a variety, not an error.

this is a large date Probably Zinc Cent (weight should be at 2.5g) with circulation damage on the devices.

Question , if the mint was manually punched doesn't that what cause doubling when repunched?

Mint marks were still hand punched in 1982. I believe thru 89. Check Coppercoins site for listings as well.

Only one listing that year. But it is not the center of the mintmark that makes it a RPM. Description : box call this one a North. Note the field above the mintmark? That is the RPM. The damage punch issue was seen on all denominations that year on coins:

This is because the mintmark punch was damaged. There also normal ones that year, so during the year they must have replaced the mintmark punch:
