coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 11/27/2022 1:44 pm Well it is not a Single Squeeze die, so it can't be a DDD issue. It is Machine Doubling that came from that direction. (You can't blame a computer issue on a car, before 1988, as it didn't have a computer until 1989) Same with DDD. But the date started more of an issue on the post 1999 quarters with the single squeeze dies. Just haven't worked back on the quarters more than post 1999 to see when the change over happened. They may have been using the Obverse Single squeeze dies with the normal multi-hub reverses? With the lower profile issue on the Single squeeze dies, and the higher profiles of the multi-hub processes, I've not yet figured out where is actually started and ended. Some of the Memorial reverses show both on the same reverse designs of both. So thus we don't have a date as to when the change over happened. But 1999 seems to be noticed more on the Obverse/Reverse dies showing the Doubled Dies on the central areas of the design. (Always learning and discovering more and more.......
