Excellent find, could be more making it to the banks as the recession hits!

Score! So were those two in a roll, or were all the coins loose?
It's hard to believe how many people who work at banks don't know anything at all about coins... Good for us, but hard to believe.

Excellent finds!

My experience has been that building a relationship with the tellers at your bank usually leads to them holding onto coin or potentially ordering you what you are looking for. Try bringing them some cookies around the holidays. You'll be amazed with the coins and paper money that start showing up.

They were loose, believe it or not. She just slid 22 halves into one of those small envelopes and gave it to me like that. When I was at a red light I just took a peek and the first one I saw was the Walker. I was thinking that it might be solid Walkers but that would've been too good to be true! And you're right about people working at banks that are clueless sometimes as to the numismatic value of some money they handle. Most of them (at least I think) know about pre 1965 silver coinage, but maybe some don't. And apparently the ones that don't know work at the drive through that I use. Good for me!
