Hi again!

So the title pretty much sums it up. In all the coins I bought at auction a couple weeks ago, I think I found a 1935 Buffalo nickel with a double die error on the reverse. There is also something up with LIBERTY on the obverse that looks it may have also happened during minting. The bottom of the letters ERTY are kind of squished, pushed up and to the left. It could be damage to the coin but I can't tell.

Let me know what you guys think.

PMD on the Obverse, MD on the reverse.

Cool looking though! I'd keep it

Liberty looks like it might have been smushed by a vending machine.

An easy way to get immediate answers as to whether you have a doubled die, RPM, or OMM. Find them all listed here:
www.varietyvista.com

Scroll down, find the e-book for the coin you are looking for and take the links.

If yours is not listed then you probably have non-collectable doubling such as Machine Doubling or Die Deterioration Doubling (search these topics on this forum and at error-ref.com).

Obverse: just damage to LIBERTY, either vending machine or wheel mark from a rolling machine.

Reverse: looks like Die Deterioration Doubling to me. Relatively common on Buffalo nickels since a good number of dies were used past their due date.

not the DDR - Here is a photo of one I Cherrypicked a couple of years ago, so you can see what to look at. Note the FIVE especially easy to see there look at the V.

Doubling shows pretty well on the E. Plurbis Unum as well, though not so much in my photo.
