I did a search the other day to see when the 2024s would be released into circulation but I didn't find a date.

I do not believe there is a set date. It depends on when banks place an order for coins that the Fed does not have in stock, which requires those coins to then come from the Mint. My previous comment was a joke about new car sales.

That one went right over my head. I was thinking coins instead of cars.

Time is quickly running out for 2023. I finally got a 2023-D cent today!
I'm still waiting to get/find: 2023 cent 2023-P nickel 2023-D nickel 2023-P dime 2023-P quarter (Coleman) 2023-D quarter (Coleman) 2023-P quarter (Kanaka'ole) 2023-P quarter (Roosevelt) 2023-P quarter (Idar) 2023-D quarter (Idar) 2023-P quarter (Tallchief) 2023-D quarter (Tallchief)
Also still looking for 2019 and 2022-D cents, and the 2022-D Warren quarter.
Most of the blame is on me, because 98% of my purchases now a days are made with plastic. Also, it's been close to two years now since my bank was able to give me coin rolls by the case.

Ordered and searched a $500 of Kennedy halves last week and found a ton of uncirculated 2023 Denvers. To the point I could create several rolls. I checked the mintage of these for 2023 and P and D combined is over 50 million. I gave some as little gifts as people hardly ever see uncirculated Half Dollars. Unfortunately none of them were true gems. Since it can be so difficult to find gems in circulation I usually get 2 annual mint sets directly from the US Mint. If I were a subscriber to the US Mint's Kennedy halves P and D rolls I would be a little miffed but I guess for the convenience this provides it may be worth the premium.

We only have a few more days left in the year. I'll post my total on Sunday.

Quote: ...I'll post my total on Sunday. I'm pretty busy on Sunday, but on Monday I'll finally go through all the coinage I got this year from either Coinstar finds or "on the ground" finds. I never really look at what I get; I just toss them in a tub. It's possible I might find some 2023's then.
