Quote:My oldest coin found coin roll hunting was a 1907 V nickel. Excellent! Quote: Oops I made a mistake. I meant to send to the Antique Coins Found CRH forum. Not sure how to forward my post? I have merged it into the exiting topic for you.

Over the past 15 days I've found an ugly 1916 Buffalo, a 1917 Buffalo, and, remarkably, a key date 1921-S Buffalo ...

Nice finds John77 especially on that 1921-S! I am over 12,000 nickels searched since my last buffalo find. Just got done with a box and have 4 more boxes to search for this week.

Thanks, guys... And nickelguy88, Buffalo nickels are usually a tough pull for me except for my one "lucky" teller... I've pulled 15 of them, along with all five of my V nickels this year, along with 12 War Nickels, a 1938-S and a 1939-S from her since April 11th - all in just 41,520 coins searched... That's one Buffalo every 2,768 coins searched from her... I've found a War Nickel every 3,460 coins I search from her - the other tellers combined are at about 1 every 6,000 coins for the Buffalos, and 1 every 8,000 coins for the War Nickels so far this year... I've never had an anomaly like this with one teller for even a couple of months - to have one like this for five months completely defies probability.

Well, thought I'd post this one in here, as well, though I have a separate thread to hopefully determine the mint mark, and to a much lesser extent, the year. I believe this to be a 1911-?, with a possible "D" mint mark. It's pretty toasty, and likely a metal detector find that someone turned in to the bank. Regardless though, this is the first 1911 Wheat cent I've ever found, so that's still a win in my book. Anyway, here's an image of the obverse. Cheers! And now I have the following: - x1 1891 Indian Head cent- x1 1898 Indian Head cent- x1 1901 Indian Head cent- x2 1909-P Wheat cent (not VDB) - x1 1911-? Wheat cent- x1 1916-P Wheat cent- x1 1916-P Buffalo nickel- x1 1917-P Wheat cent- x1 1918-P Wheat cent- x1 1919-P Wheat cent- x1 1919-D Wheat cent- x3 1919-S Wheat cent- x4 1920-P Wheat cent- x1 1921-P Wheat cent- x2 1921-S Wheat cent
