1946 S Lincoln Wheat Cent / LWC Inverted Mint Mark

2foxy Valued Member United States 150 Posts	Posted 02/12/2023 9:38 pm I found this 1946 S LWC that looks like it has an inverted mint mark, would this be the case? Thanks in advance. The penny is lower grade and worn down so getting a clear photo of it was difficult. Report this Post to the Staff

But it seems like the thickness of the mintmark is not the same? Maybe the die went through a polishing issue? (that could thin the mintmark) Side by Sides with the attributed item: Not a match.
