Die Deterioration would cause that. Not a DDO

Note on all the affected areas, it is towards the rim. So that is die wear on the older style die creations. Note a doubled die. Just a normal die starting out and now showing its age. If it shows the same thing on the reverse, it might be a die marriage that started off together. If not, it may have been mated with a different die marriage.

Well the first thing not to do, is not to keep looking at the edges of the devices. A doubled die will show a spread on the central areas of the devices:

Note the affected area is showing a slight spread.
