2026 is still too far away to worry or care about.
It will arrive faster than you think!

If the mint continues to raise prices on the products. I may need a reverse mortgage.

Never been into new issue modern Mint product, but sometimes in the numismatic after market, at near bullion prices. At least, if you are in the after market, you can easily find what is out there, and what the stabilized after market prices are.
Every coin has to be best value for money at the time of purchase, otherwise I am not interested.,

My numismatic buy varies greatly from year to year.
Because of that, I really must do some soul searching on every coin that I may buy, that has significant value.

Fortunately I don't have to worry about rent; I paid the mortgage off more than 30 years ago.

Impossible to guess the spend for 2026, but if I can't buy for financial reasons, I don't buy.

My Mint subscription list is now up to 8 items - only silver as I have convinced myself gold is ugly (aka, I can't afford).

My rationalization is that I am doing this to leave to my children and grandchildren, but I am burying it in the backyard & only I and the chihuahua know where, so best they keep me healthy and happy.

Of course, this is better than when I told them I was putting all of my estate into my stamp collection, I think.

Only silver for me as well. And gold is ugly, er, expensive.

Well in 2026, it will be the 40th anniversary of the first ASE to be issued - so maybe, I'll budget for that..

BStrauss3 - You make a good point here. I recently caught him trying to paw a Black Toonie, so I know he would flip for cheap.

This whole 2026 thing has me nervous as I am already checking the US Mint site every few nights to see if I am missing anything I would want.... all the while the chihuahua is sitting there, staring at me....

I usually don't look too far ahead and just take it one day at a time. Life is easier for me that way.
I only collect modern coins and mostly 1 oz silver coins like ASEs, Krugerrands, Maples, Libertads, etc. As long as mints keep putting those out I'll be fine.
As far as budgeting goes I try not to place more than one order on any given day.

A good idea. A lot can happen between now and then.
