Hello, I'm new to the forum. Was wondering if anyone has seen a nickel with a cracked skull?

That is a very big (and very nice) Lamination. Cracked skulls are die cracks - This is a planchet issue.

That is a nice lamination. Somewhat common on War Nickels but still a nice find and 2x2 worthy.

@rwk, FWI so-called "cracked skull" coins are when the die that struck the coin had intersecting die cracks on the portrait.

Nice. I'm agreeing. Hold on to it in a 2x2 like they said.

Probably the silver price would be worth more than the lamination value.
