Would be difficult to give an accurate value, due to the combination of scarce factors that apply to this coin. Although I am not normally a fan of slabs, this coin is better off, as a slabbed item. Value can only be found at public auction, which if it were mine, I would not do. Such a coin would go into my estate, to be sold my my kids, if they so choose to do. Report this Post to the Staff

panzaldi Bedrock of the Community United States 18687 Posts	Posted 04/19/2023 11:11 am my favorite year for silver with the reverse rays the only issue I can see is the surface mark on the obv behind the head. cant tell what looks like a scratch above the eagle. if it was a scratch it would be across the rays and if it was a die break it would also. the only thing I think of is that it was on the planchet prior to striking. anyone else have any insight on that? I'm not sure that it's a die crack, but some other sort of Die Deterioration. It appears to run behind the devices. I looked at a couple trueviews and saw a similar artifact on several of them.
