Great photos, Dearborn!
Mine came in yesterday. Time to get the CAPS album out and drop in the last 4 most recent ASEs. Hopefully there will be a spot left for the USMC one in November!

Quote: Hopefully there will be a spot left for the USMC one in November! I've got my proof case to the point I'll have to pull out some spares that are in there and it'll be complete. The big gray case people here told me about from Harbor Freight. I have spares in there and extra cases for the Uncirculated finish ASEs and some other odds and ends. It'll be cool hanging that one completed gray case, Proof in OGP clamshells 1987-2025

Quote: I'm pretty amazed by the great detail of the stars on the privy mark... Did you see the video I made a chipotle days ago? Yours has easy more detail than mine. I'll get out my scope later and get some close up pictures. My eagle looks almost completely without detail, just a flat bird.

I did not view the video you chipotled days ago yet where is it? Man, auto correct is wrong more times than it is 'correct'.

I may get out my scope and get a better image of the privy on my coin - may even remove it from the capsule to ensure a good image. The image I took above, the ASE was still in the cap (as you can tell from the double spots of lint on the surface.)

Thanks Mike - it does appear to have great detail on everything - even the tiny privy (pretty impressed with that) but I'll scope it later on to see how much detail shows up without the cap cover. as it is, the images were taken with a cell phone through the OGP capsule.

Dearborn If your can get a closer up of your Navy privy mark, I'd appreciate it, and permission to share. I think I have a "bum" privy mark. As mentioned in the video, the eagle looks virtually flat, very light vertical lines on the shield. Yours however looks like it does have a fair amount of detail, I'd love to see yours closer. Have a good chipotle days *roll eyes*

Sure, I'll be happy to get better images of that privy (when I get home)

Gilly, why don't you post an image of what your Navy privy looks like, that way we all know what to look for when you say it looks different?
