Remember the movie Con Air? Coins--likely quarters--spilling out of a Vegas slot machine immediately after the plane--a C-123--crashes into a casino. Couldn't get a better screen grab. Apologize if this has been shared earlier. Put... the bunny... back... in the box.

I have been re-watching CSI: Crime Scene Investigation on Paramount+ Season 3 Episode 5, "Abra Cadaver" shows a very nice 1971-S Proof Eisenhower dollar starting at 41:53. I cannot get a screen capture—Paramount+ app playback goes black on Windows and Android.

Quote: I believe these are the images you saw. Correct! Thank you! I was going to re-try from my Linux machine today (more tools and tricks), but these will suffice.

Unsure if this has been posted earlier. From the movie The Dark Night. A Peace dollar used by Harvey Dent to determine outcomes by flipping.

Last night I watched a movie called Coin Heist on Netflix. It is based on the book of the same title by Elisa Ludwig. I discovered it from an article in the August issue of the Numismatist. The movie is about a group of high school kids at a fancy private school that try to raise $10M after the headmaster (and the dad of one of the kids) misappropriates the school's endowment. They decide to make their own variety of the Michigan State Quarter (then being minted) by breaking into the Philadelphia Mint. They plan to sell it for $5k each to 2000 collectors. Anyway, the movie is laughably bad from the acting to the story line to the total lack of security at the mint building. Many holes in the minting process as well.
