"500 Silver Dollars" ... Undoubtedly Ikes
I never really considered Ikes to be "silver dollars" even if they have silver in them -- that's a special category. Still, yeah, undoubtedly Ikes. I actually found the clip on my first try (what do I win for that?) -- start at 24:10 minutes in:

Unfortunately, it was not up to us. Back then they were called silver dollars because that is what the big dollar coins always were before the Ike came along. If I could have received a 40% silver Ike for every time someone called an Ike a silver dollar (in my presence), I would be... quite happy.

Well done!

You win this...

After looking at that part several times, I am convinced they are clad Ikes. But that just may be my bias.

From where I sit, I don't think those coins were even Ikes. They look a mite too big.

I am still re-watching CSI.

The Season 3 episode "Precious Metal" features a 1909-S VDB cent, mentions a 1916-D dime, has a shady dealer who dares to ask of the Lincoln Cent, "Why the Flip?" to which Greg replies, "I have been meaning to get it slabbed."

Good fun.

Ran across this pic of possibly the best trilogy of all time. Funny thing about the coins, they are the small modern dollar. I guess someone just advertising to sell the movies.

These are two of the best. Classic cigarette through quarter and a Chinese pre republic coin found in an orange.
