I am re-watching Bones on Peacock.

Season 1, Episode 9 "The Man in the Fallout Shelter" features a coin collecting dead man and a copper 1943 cent.

This one was previously discussed here and here.

Re-watching the cigarette through the quarter trick, it's clearly set up. The kid reacted just a little too quickly when asked for some change, and the man sitting next to Stack just happened to have a pack of cigarettes on him--when almost nobody smokes anymore. And no one asked to examine the quarter.

That clip is from 1979, so the smokes are probably legit.

But I have to agree, that kid overshot his cue.

I'm sure this has been said before, but Harvey Dent in Dark Knight comes to my mind.

I don't know exactly the specifics of the coin he has, but I am pretty sure it is some kind of 1922 Peace dollar.

Coins on Television - "Maverick" Seated Liberty dollar

An imitation United States Seated Liberty dollar coin appears in a 1960 episode of the Western television program "Maverick".

"Maverick" starred James Garner as Bret Maverick and Jack Kelly as his brother Bart Maverick. Both were gamblers and constantly getting into trouble.

This episode is titled "Iron Hand", only has Bart Maverick (Jack Kelly) in it, and and was first broadcast in 1960.

Bart Maverick takes a job working for a woman cattle rancher to help her drive her cattle to a market town. The lady charms Bart and sometimes offers to flip a coin for his fee.

The coin:

Seinfeld episode with George Costanza and his father Frank's "Silver Dollar Collection". I caught this re-run last night and it made me think of this post. Can't quite make-out the dollar type or year.

The 1954 movie "Black Tuesday" is about two condemned men who are about to be executed in the electric chair.

Edward G. Robinson and Peter Graves flip a coin to decide who goes first. The coin lands on the floor.

The coin is a United States Quarter (25 cents) dated 1942.
