Unfortunately, it is not a genuine Chinese cash coin. It is a machine-struck replica of a coin of the Shunzhi emperor (reigned 1643-1661).
Practitioners of Feng Shui believe that amulets and charms made up of "one coin from each emperor" strung together in spacial patterns have particular powers. They also believe that using replica coins is just as good as, if not better than, using actual genuine coins for this purpose; a genuine 300 year old coin might have picked up all sorts of evil spirits with the passage of time, which would need to be ritually removed prior to being used in an amulet.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
I'd ask the OP what is the diameter of the piece? How big or small across is it in inches or millimeters? If that in the picture is the edge of a postage stamp, they vary in size. Is it maybe just about one inch or larger?
