Hi,

Does somebody know about the mintage (or rough estimate) of those rare proofs? I found almost nothing outside of the common 1937 and 1950-1951 proof sets. The TPG offer a vague idea but again, it seems a significant ammount of those proof currently in PCGS slabs were previously in NGC slabs...

Thank you!

That is a good question that I also have. Since they are proof of record or VIP proof their mintage will not be publicly known like normal proof sets which are for public sale. I am not aware of a clear mintage figure but you can make an estimate by checking auction websites for past sales.

That being said the Canadian proof of record or VIP proof does have a mintage figure, so they do seem to have a list of sets sold. Maybe try to contact the mint to see if they can help?

Yeah, I have a similar question for some canadian issue, especially the 1968-1969 specimen set and a few others... I doubt the mint itself have easily access to those informations but who know!
