"Stackable silver" - I've never seen that designation before! A very interesting bullion coin, though.

Today's coin is the 2018 Cameroon Imperial dragon. I flipped this coin over a few times before settling on this view (which is the correct view based on the internet searches I did). In a weird link to Portugal. The Portuguese were the first Europeans to reach Cameroon and its name comes from the Portuguese word for Shrimp "Cameroes". The country is still called "Cameroes" in Portuguese.

Interesting design, hfjacinto. Not something you expect when you think of Cameroon. I wonder if they market these coins to China. After all, the dragon symbolizes good fortune, power over weather and water, and a pioneering spirit in Chinese culture.

@NumisEd, I think you are right, what I was able to dig up:
"This 2018 1 oz Silver Cameroon Imperial Dragon proof-like BU coin showcases an ancient Chinese art-style. Closely following the finest detail, this Imperial Dragon design is drawn directly from art produced during the Ming Dynasty from the official Jiajing Emperor workshops (1521 to 1567)."

Quote: Nice Canadian Bison, hfjacinto! That it a bit of an odd weight, though... So is the $8 denomination.

Today you get one of my least liked coins, something about the design just doesn't appeal to me and probably is one of the reasons that with the lowest premium and always available, I only have a small sample. Today you get the philharmonic.

I like the Austrian 1oz coin; the presentation of the musical instruments and pipe organ I find quite interesting.

My last one. Although legal tender, doesn't really look like a coin.

Great thread, hfjacinto! Thank you for sharing your beauties with us.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures
