This is an accidental collection, due to the price of a lot of classic coins, I stepped back from collecting US coins. What I have been buying are foreign bullion coins. The reason is that many sell for a small premium over the spot price and you can get some pretty nice samples for not a lot of money. I'll post one a day. Today we start off with one of my favorite coins, a Mexican Libertard.

That's what I am doing too! I'm trying to get at least one from every issuing country, and so far I have identified about 52 countries that have issued one ounce silver coins. Some may have been issued in such small numbers that they would have some significant numismatic premium, but for now I'm keeping them on my list. More and more countries seem to be jumping on this bandwagon so this list is likely to get longer. This is good from my perspective, and most of the designs are quite interesting.

I'm way under, I have 16 different varieties. And a few are from the same country but different design. I'm only going to ones that are available, with a minimum premium. I do have a few proofs but they cost less than the US ASE proofs.

Nice silver libertad. I have about fifteen in my collection. The 2018 1 oz silver mintage is 300K, a lower mintage in the series. Highest mintage so far 1992 2,458,000, lowest 1998 67K. On average I think silver libertads have a higher premium usually than silver eagles due to lower mintages. The early silver libertads from 1982 into early 1990s have a luster and cartwheel effect like Morgan and Peace dollars. Then they went with satin/matte finish like silver eagles.

Do you have a Charles III Britannia yet? If not, you certainly need one!

Thanks Hondo, I initially started this collection as a low cost bullion collection, but the proof/limited release ones are so pretty and cost less than the 2023 Proof Morgans/Peace that I couldn't say no.
