Good news bad news - with the switch to LEDs flashlight reflectors are harder to find... most newer lights just have a few LEDs aimed directly out. BUT it's getting harder and harder to convert the old lights to LEDs (I tried and every bulb I tried selling on Amazon for "2" cells was actually "4-6" cells and just gave a dim glow) - that left me a reflector to harvest, but I haven't tried it.

I'm curious what application is this for? I took an edge shot of a quarter and see a ton more detail although I only get a small percentage of the rim. I also wonder about imperfections in the reflector affecting the image.

Yup, and counting reeds. Fake Reales are often given away by the edge symbols and overlap. There are reasons that it can be very convenient to see it all at once.
