Quite proud of this photo I've been experimenting on how to get decent photos for 3 years now it is not perfect I will admit but it's close enough I now have a great idea how it's done. For those interested to know I'm pretty sure TrueView Photos are minimally edited (only 3 lightroom setting where adjusted wb, Blacks, optics) does require a heck of a lot of knowledge about exposure. Pretty sure it can also be done with any DSLR. I use a cannon rebel t7 and basic lens.

With respect, Trueview is not a particularly a worthy comparison goal.

Quite decent photos. Suggest getting a bit more diffusion with your light source.

Lights are diffused and for me I enjoy their images it gives me a standard to understand what I'm looking at

Not enough of the coin's details are showing through - are you editing the photos in any way after taking them?

Decaf94drew, Try a gray background. Filter your light source, too many hot spots showing. Not enough detail. John1

Gray background already in use. That coin is sharp and in focus. Info on editing at top.

Strong start. For fun, please post a couple photos of a common, less reflective, circulated cent. Eager to see what your technique will yield.

I'm not the best judge, but these pics look pretty awesome to me!

I understand/see what others are saying about hot spots on your Red cent and details showing (or not) through. But darn that brown cent looks marvelous.

Nice! BU coins are much more difficult to capture properly.
