Hi all!
It's been a long while since I posted, lots of moving since I last did, my collection is a lot more fractured and swapping hasn't been easy in a while. I got a new set of coins recently, and since I don't have my trusty magnifying glass and high intensity lamp currently, and I've grown older and weaker of eye, I figured I'd just take a photograph and zoom in on the image, or zoom in on the image and take a photograph. Long story short, I've not been having good luck with my pictures.

I've shared an example where I'm trying to figure out if my Aussie coin from 2001 has separate I R B, connected IRB or I RB. And I honestly can't even tell!
The hilarious thing is that this is with my mobile phone camera, the one I tried on my fancier semi-professional camera came out worse.
So I figured I'd ask, what is your camera setup? Do you have it fixed on a tripod? Aiming straight on at the coin, slanted a bit? Flash/no flash? Light from another source, etc?
