First pic is clear but a little dark. Second pic looks a little blurry. Third and fourth pics way too dark. John1

Second lot of pics much better. Lighting is crucial isn't it!

raw coin. I used 2 lights. 1 above/behind the scope - 1 level/below & in front of the scope. The coin is on a 2 to 3 inch glass tube. The "level/below" light is giving me light on the bottom of the coin with no glare, also creating a better white balance. If I raise that light any at all it will start giving glare where it is obvious 2 lights are being used. The 2nd photo I just brought the "above/behind" to above/front of scope. It really lit the coin up.

For me it is always easier to get copper coins imaged - your 1947 image is crisp - I think first is the better one. Well done. I'd suggest working with a circulated lustery silver as the test, if you can get that to look "in hand" with your scope you can almost guarantee the coppers would look phenominal.

Ok, fine, you just had to post pics with your brand spanking new 48MP. And ever since I've been scouring reviews and the like because now I need one :-)
Seriously tho, I'm so so jealous that I'm now destined to upgrade from 24 to 48. It makes all the difference in the world as the Buffalo lettering beautifully highlights.
Mind sharing the brand you bought and overall experience?

Here is the link to the scope on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CG8PP3M...details&th=1So far I am loving it, but I do need more time to get the total feel of it. My old scope was the exact same set-up, just a lower quality tool. I'm going to play with the settings again tomorrow and try to post some new photos. The 10 inch stand that it comes with gives enough room to take a full photo of a raw Morgan dollar, with no room to spare. A morgan in a holder you will lose some of the top and bottom of the coin when taking a photo. I already had a 6inch extension on my old set-up that I was able to move on to the new unit. That gives me more than enough room for a slabbed morgan with plenty of room to spare. The extensions are $15 to $20.
