I would really appreciate your opinions.

Cons
The E in LIBERTY looks chopped off like MD, doubling in the mint mark in the same direction.

Maybe Pros?
Has some similarities to a 1941-S DDO-001

RTY seem elongated to me vs. the standard coin, not shortened.

There are DDOs around this date with RPMs that have a similar look, like the 1940-S DDO-001.

I put in my best attempt at assessing shortening vs. elongation and I'm still on the fence. I apologize in advance for my lack of technical expertise in this regard.

To CCF! I'm seeing Machine Doubling on Liberty. Not seeing a DDO.

It does have similarities to the DDO-001, however, it cannot be that specific doubled die. The 001 has a Trumpet Tail S mint mark, and your coin has the precursor mint mark, a smaller, thicker S with a flared hook on the bottom and a rectangular two-sided serif on the top. I checked Wexler and Copper Coins, too, and they had no DDO like your coin.

The crushed top to the E says Machine Doubling to me. However the bottom of the IB has a characteristic sway.

Thank you for your helpful comments.

I put up an image of a real 1941s DDO (DDO-001), showing some vague similarity in the RTY doubling in case it is helpful. Great point on the coin I posted having the wrong mint mark to be this variety.

CentR,

Your coin is showing MD not a doubled die and no RPM.
