Percentages yet to be attested: 55, 52, 46. (A few others are uncertain.)

It sounded likely that there was a modern-ish 0.550 silver coin, and a search on Numista found that this composition was indeed (apparently) used - specifically, on some lower denominations of Ceylon under George V (10 cents, 25 cents, 50 cents).

A lot of 0.520s - most notably the 1/4 florins of Franz Josef I of Austria (here's one type; there are others) but also many across various German states.

The 0.460 entries are confusing; perhaps the most plausible is the claim that the Japanese mameita gin ("bean money") issues of the Genbun era were 46% silver, but I'm not sure if that's supposed to be a standard or an average. I hadn't yet searched for other numbers that would round to 46%, though.
...having searched them: Brabant again. (And a few other parts of the Spanish Netherlands, but Brabant was easiest to confirm.) 5 deniers 12 grains, apparently, which comes out to 0.458 silver.

I will start the 20-29% slice with this 6 groszy coin of the Poland-Lithuanian commonwealth which (as in the table posted a couple of days ago) is 4 11/18 / 16ths pure or 29% (0.288)

A side note related to earlier discussion with @j1m ... Augustus uses the title Rex Poloniarum instead of Rex Poloniae on the coins struck in Saxony for use in Poland . I think this translates to King of the Poles (or Polish people) rather than King of Poland. Not sure the significance, if any ...

I think it actually translates to "King of the Polands". Poloniarum is genitive plural of Polonia. "Of the Poles" is Polonorum.

So my question: Is that reasonable? Were there somehow two (or more?) Polands at the time?

Hmmm
Historically there was Wielkopolska (Greater Poland) and Malopolska (Lesser Poland) until they were united "permanently" by Casimir the Great, so maybe this is the reference?

Of course, not too long after this time, the "Polands" ruled by August III would be divided and taken by Prussia, Russia and Austria.

Hey, where did everyone go?

I'll go again with what I think is the lowest I have in this range, this Lithuanian 2 denar coin specified at 3 1/2 / 16ths, 22% (0.219).

Seems plausible.

Super! (and no surprise that the "silver" coins are now becoming markedly copper-y looking).
I didn't run across that composition in my two favorite regions. Feeling a bit more relieved now that we are up to four compositions either posted or accounted for.

Nobody has posted this, so here is the actual 55%, according to Krause. It is odd that the 55% was sandwich between the earlier and later years of the 50 cent.

Thanks, oriole!!

Yeah, when I went to look, I noticed that odd pattern, too (and I used to have a Ceylon 10 cent, but before the composition dipped to 55%).
I will add your contribution to the running list next time it gets updated.

Presumably the same composition (0.219 on Numista) in Lithuanian and Gdansk denars of the 1550s...
