Hi all,

Came across this 1988-D LMC today. Looks like something went wrong in the plating process when this one was struck... doesn't look damaged, scratched, or anything. The devices look good and undamaged.

What say you all?

Will be interested to see what others have to say about it. My opinion is it's probably PMD.

This coin was baddly environemental deposit. The center show blisters from the zinc expansion and some Zinc point. I think to some how UV heating.

Some might say caused by a cigarette lighter (coop) some say a plating issue. This one to me looks like an odd toning.

Bad electroplating. There was a lot of it in the late 80s and 90s.
