I'm not sure what stain really means in numismatics world yet, but it doesn't look like what I would ever think of as a stain. Not contradicting the experts. Too green yet to be sure of anything. The raised area, that you are talking about, is the plating issues he was referring too and it looks like there is a stain to the far left of that. Odds are good that what created the raised area, also caused the stain. You can tell your coin has plating issues all over it.
