I think it's solid AU58! Wonderful coin!

Nice! If it didn't go 55, then it must be a weakly struck 58

Quote: I had it conserved and graded at ANACS and then graded by PCGS... I will post them later this week. Quote: However, neither TPG graded it as an AU55. Quote: I should also note that this is not a trick, the coin was straight graded by both. I know it has only been a couple days, but the suspense!

Apologies for the belated post but here, at last, are the grading results. First ANACS: And now, PCGS: I guess PCGS appreciated ANACS' conservation work more than ANACS did. Anyway, I want to thank everyone again for all of your advice and opinions, they were very helpful as always. So thanks!

Hello again all! I'm looking for some advice and figured this was a good place to find it. So I've decided to sell this coin and I'm trying to decide between Heritage and my ebay store. Normally I'd just go through my store but noticed that Heritage has sold three examples over the past year or so @ $4800 or above (including the 20% Buyer Fee). Seller Fees are about the same, and the only comp I found on ebay sold for $3800. Anyway, if anyone has had any experience with Heritage or otherwise has any advice, I would be very appreciative. Thanks as always!

I still think it's an AU-55.

I would sell it myself.

Any particular reason @NumismaticsFTW? Follow-up: Is it worth sending to CAC to potentially assuage the AU58 skeptics?

If this were my coin, I would try to sell it myself initially. If a sale turned out to be more effort than expected or I could not get close to retail myself, I would contact an auction house to sell with.

Thanks jacrispies, that's actually the current plan and likely what I'll do. If anyone has experience working with Heritage I'd be very appreciative of any info you can provide.
