Funny story but I purchased a used bank today and when I got it home I found this 1972 D (I believe type 2) silver dollar in it. I could use some help grading it so please give me your thoughts and if I'm wrong on the type 2, I'd appreciate knowing that as well.

Type 2 only applies to the 1972 P dollar, not your D mint dollar. Yours is the normal type 1 earth and I would call it AU.

That's the first thing that came to my mind. Someone bought an actual bank building and found stuff in the safe.
