I just noticed that all of their DDO listings for this auction say "Double Die Obverse" instead of _Doubled_ Die. I emailed them about it because it makes them sound unknowledgeable to me. Not sure if that bothers anyone else.

Anyone Else Checking out the Auctions? I have seen Coins in these auctions Here, We collect that have a " Red Book " listed value, That is NOT very consistent with the Prices being Realized as I see these auctions progress, with about 3 Weeks to go. The Prices people are Obviously More than Willing to Bid on Paying Much Higher Too!!! The Fact the Recognition of a Person or a Person's Name ON Distinctive Collections has Historically Brought Record Prices, IMO.... However, My point Here is, While Extremely Crisp Struck coins are All Here, I can Not help Realize, The Coin Collecting Hobby is Far From Stagnant, Far From Gone. It's Very Refreshing, Very Promising for Collectors of Unique, Die Variety, Errors and Plate coins that Some I did NOT Know Existed.... Check out The Fugio , Continental Currency Piece, How many Known? Last I saw it was at a Bid of $ 155.000.00..... Just Awesome these are in One Person's Ward, I Hope Others take the Time to see, Supreme Examples, of Days Gone Bye , Some of The American Classic Coinage...... One person had the Foresight to Want to Name and Recognize Special Varieties, some Unknown.......

I came back to this thread to offer my public apology to Kevin for my prior inappropriate remarks. I admit to my ignorance of your fantastic contributions ... and that is a poor reflection on me and not on you.
I appreciate the forum Moderators editing out my prior comments. It keeps this a clean celebratory thread instead of the bad vibes I introduced.
Kevin - I apologize to you. And best of wishes with your upcoming auction.
Take a look at my other hobby ... http://www.jk-dk.art

Nickel, in the short couple of years I have been on this site, you have done nothing but uplift the community and help out folks who need it. I get out in the fast lane occasionally, did yesterday, it happens. Own up, as you have and all should be done, that is what I do, when it happens and move on. Anyone who cannot accept that, has not lived or has lived incorrectly.

nickelsearcher, thanks, not a problem. You have done over 11K posts on this site, that is a heck of a lot of time and effort. We all contribute in different ways to help our hobby and our fellow collectors. Trust me, I am extremely happy with the responses herein, and in the future, when I focus on books getting kids involved in our hobby, this will be one of the sites I will be recommending as a learning place as IMO collectors here are extremely helpful and positive to others. On another site (unnamed), IMO it is a hostile environment, not only in my experience posting there, but in many other posts from others I have seen. It is not a site I would want people to go, especially new collectors.

I was once on a police wanted list on their web site for counterfeiting... True story, I love saying that to new people I meet, especially as I am a DOD contractor. Its a great story that could happen to anyone, just sent to Bobby so he could upload for everyone. Kevin

I gived them an light on theirs last months, weeks or days. I have many time messages from brothers and sisters of those kid who continous this hobby, and nothing could hit more my heart. I have to put by mail my name for your new book, hopfully you will sign for me (or I have to ask Wex for this?). I think I have 90% of yout books. About other site, I know what you talk about, and I agree. That forum change drastically in the last 10 years and so. Hope sometimes you will come back here. All my best, Silvio
