I am selling the majority of my certified die varieties through Heritage Auctions.
It is a 30 day auction starting 2/2/2024 at https://coins.ha.com/c/search/resul...&layout=list
There are about 580 lots including doubled dies, repunched mint marks, over mint marks, overdates, clashes, off-denomination clashes, repunched dates, misplaced dates, and others.
Many of the coins that were the plate coins for books that I have written are included. Also included are plate coins for other books.
A complete cross reference and description is included for each lot.
Also included for most of the lots are links to the die variety section of that book the variety was used or listed in. There is even links to books I have not published, such as the Trade dollars.
For the more dramatic varieties, a close up photo is included, of course you can click on the link to see all of the die varieties.
This includes a ton of Indian cent, Lincoln Cent, Two Cent, Three Cent Nickel, Liberty Head Nickel, Buffalo nickel, Barber dime, Quarter, and Half Dollar, Walking Liberty half dollars, Franklin half dollars, Kennedy half dollars, Liberty Seated, Trade, Morgan dollar, and gold varieties. The Morgan dollar varieties include many of the 8TF and 8/7 TF varieties. There are many varieties herein that have not been seen elsewhere. This is a cumulation of 30 years of writing 58 books and finding coins to use for the books.
I am attempting to get my web page back online
The restrike book is complete, but it has been in editing for the past year, hopefully soon, if interested in this book, please advise.
I am also working on a history of coins book, after that I will probably just do kids books to help get the next generation involved.
If any questions, please contact me through the forum email link above my post.
Thanks
Kevin

I have written several books on coins for kids, one of which was with my daughter. Another called Coin Collecting For the Next Generation was more for clubs, parents, grandparents on how to get kids involved, it included sections from many experienced people who had great ideas on getting kids involved in our greatest hobby. Like baseball, coins are a means that a parent or grandparent can connect with their child/grandchild.

I am working on a book for coins for kids in the classroom, using coins as a teaching element

Kevin, only 30 years. and 58 books. Slacker!!
Congratulations and thank you for lifetime of achievements and helping the hobby.

I'm surprised there is anybody in the hobby who reads much numismatic literature who hasn't come across your name. I've only been back in 11 years, but I sure was interested in visiting the auction when I saw your name in the title. There should be some great varieties. Thanks for sharing the link.

Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

Thanks, but I failed in one regard, none of my kids picked up collecting coins. My oldest believes it is a disease as she saw how much time I put into it. Hopefully I will have better luck with my grandkids.

I began collecting coins in the mid 70's, and the best advice I ever received was to gain as much knowledge as possible about as much as possible. Over the years I have purchased several books wriiten by Kevin Flynn that answered many questions I had. To this day I use them frequently. For what it's worth, Thank you Mr. Flynn, for gift of knowledge you have given to the numismatic world.

I personally, at this time, can't buy any coins, though I would love to and your collection sounds
amazing. I will follow the sale at Heritage (and likely be drooling), and good luck to you.
I will also actively seek out your publications in the future, I am a sponge for coin knowledge.
