Are these genuine coins? Are they in your book mrcruise?
In response to MachinMachinMan Aftermarket Private releases are generally not included in my book for several reasons:
1. Information is hard to come by (unless you buy one and reference the certificate included)
2. Generally not advertised and pics are hard to come by (I made a special effort to include images of all coins in book)
3. No way to confirm metal content - you either have to believe what is on certificate or measure with metal analyser which I do not have
Are these genuine coins? They are genuine in the sense that they exist but they are definitely not official releases and are altered by gilding, antiquing or colouring and thus any information on these coins in their accompanying certificates must be taken on good faith
Having said that I do cover a small fraction of these Aftermarket Private releases in the book that I was able to access and photograph due to the kindness of some of my coin collector friends who loaned them to me
These include the 1999 Silver Kangaroo with Y2K privy, 2000-2002 & 2008-2009 Silver Kangaroo coloured coins (the 2000 & 2001 coloured silver coins were actually sold by Downies), the 2008 Silver Koala with F12 privy, various W16 privy silver coins from 2015-2018 and the 2015 Funnel-Web Spider Skull privy coins (I've included some pics of these for reference)
As others have answered since your post these Aftermarket Private releases generally are from Europe, namely Germany and all based on the original bullion coins issued by
Perth Mint which they used to create Aftermarket versions as the
Perth Mint did not mint antique versions of these coins, nor the gilded or coloured versions of several other Aftermarket Private releases.
Hope this helps
