I have yet another 1918/7 S possibility. The lower hole of the 8 looks pretty filled, as seen on low grade examples. (the mark that looks like the top of the hole is actually a scratch).
Mint mark seems to me in the correct position. Its hard to see the die clash by the right knee. And I know the step by the left ankle should be more smooth, but some examples have a a visible step.
Any experts that can weigh in? thanks for your assistance
My biggest concern is the die crack through the date. That would be a pretty big marker not to be known by now, even in LDS. So if that is indeed an unlisted major die marker, we'd need to find some other examples with the same crack on the overdate to confirm. I'll see if I can find any but just on a quick search, I haven't seen any others.

Exactly what I was thinking. I looked through hundreds of examples of the overdate today, and couldn't find any with the die crack. Unfortunately, I don't believe you have an 8/7 here.
