Obverse and reverse first, then four mint mark images at 0-90-180-270 to the light. The bump along the inner curve of the S is only visible on some images. The mint mark also took an unfortunate circulation knock on the top termination. The position and shape are an adequate match for FS-501.
Edit: I had originally posted: I think it is not out of the question that this is a trumpet tail that has taken some coincidental circulation wear. But that thought is definitely incorrect—there are no serifs that protrude to the outside on a trumpet tail mint mark. This example is 100% a serif-S mint mark, regardless of orientation.
That is entirely possible. My understanding is that the normal orientation has a smaller gap on top than on the bottom. Here the top seems to have a larger gap. I could be wrong, of course. This coin has seen some wear.
