I purchased the first coin displayed below about a year ago and it had a dent in the right wing in the middle of the fourth and fifth feather. I had never seen any FE like this in Snow's 22 varieties. Recently, I was looking over the coin and noticed that the reverse had some attributes. The lower leg of the E in CENT was almost faded away and the top right leg of the N in CENT was nearly faded out. Recently, I found three coins on ebay that had the same attributes and I have displayed them below. This tells me that there was a die pair that at least made 4 coins. Has anyone ever seen other examples of this coin?

Great article on Fakes. Yes I thought this was suspicious and potentially a Fake. the dark red color and the porous surface got me thinking spark erosion. Thanks for the Fake Link.

Looks like low quality castings - lost the crispness of the details.

I sent an mail to the ebay seller with the fake link and the seller said the coins were only corroded and not fakes. I don't think the seller reviewed the link so the coins are still up for auction.
