Guys, I have been very reluctant in approaching you all with this coin. I have searched the massive listings of John Wexler's and James Wile's listings. Note: Wexler's listings are for the Philadelphia mint and the Variety Vista's show only 8 of the Denver mint. None of the listings show any doubling in the area that this coin has. Can you conclude that this is possible a new example?

*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. It's very important to have in the title. ***

Could be a new listing, if it's a DDR.

Likely a coincidental contact mark. Isolated doubling that far from the center is unlikely on the modern quarters.
