1971 Kennedy Half Dollar Die Chipping Off And Possible Other Errors?

tm33040 New Member United States 47 Posts	Posted 04/10/2024 12:53 pm I have a 1971 Kennedy half dollar. Newbie here...Are all these things caused by PMD? The die is chipping of in a few places; above the B and between the S&O. Also, I noticed doubling in letters and on the armor there are doubling. Report this Post to the Staff

Errers and Varietys Bedrock of the Community United States 75476 Posts	Posted 04/10/2024 2:22 pm Something is on the coin. Try soaking it in pure Acetone, to see if it comes off. The doubling you are seeing might be Die Deterioration Doubling. Errers and Varietys. Report this Post to the Staff
