I have recently found one of these while metal detecting in romania. I have cleaned it up using professional methods. I can't seem to find any references to this variation. Or past sale records to get a rough idea on value. Does anyone have anymore info on RIC VII Siscia 61

Welcome to CCF. That's a great find. It looks genuine to me. Chi-Rho are the first two Greek letters of Christ. Constantine I was the first Christian emperor. Christian symbols began appearing on his coinage late in his reign. He and his sons, later emperors used the Chi-Rho on their coinage as well as the cross symbol, Tau-Rho symbol. Usually the Chi-rho is on the military standard or in the field of the coin. It's very rare for it to be on the helmet.

I've seen maybe only five or six Constantine I coins with Chi-Rho on helmet. One is in the book Roman Bronze Coins by Victor Failmezger, this collection sold some years ago. A pic of it is on plate 21, number 316CI. See below. I don't know what it sold for. It's the same as yours with rider/horse on the shield, two victories on reverse. I've searched sold auctions on acsearch.info, Sixbid, CNGcoins and other sites, could not find one.

Because they are rare, it's hard to place a value on them, they seldom are offered for sale or in auctions. I'm guessing they are worth minimum several hundred dollars, more if in great condition. The Constantine I type with Chi-Rho on top of military standard, snake below, sell for a lot of money.

Here is link to Victor Clark's page showing Christian symbols on Constantine I coins.

I have one Constantine I with Chi-Rho on helmet with dots on the shield. I bought it about ten years ago on ebay, buy it now for $64. The seller did not know what it was, did not list it as Chi-Rho on helmet. Here it is:

Here is pic of the Failmezger example but it's very grainy, had to downsize it to post.

Here is pic of the only known silver medallion of Constantine I with Chi-Rho on helmet. It's in a Europe museum.

Here is pic of another of my Constantine I Chi-Rho, it's between two soldiers with military standards, a scarce variety, great condition, Constantinople mint.

Wow, what a coin!

Here's a detailed page about Christian symbols (definite or suspected) on Roman coinage from Constantine's lifetime (courtesy of Augustus Coins).
On it, this type is referenced only with a line drawing, with a comment that the type is extremely rare and was apparently only issued at one officina in Siscia.

This example looks to be in excellent condition, with many of the details extremely clear!
I wonder what the reverse looks like...
