Full bands but it is also a proof
I swing a metal detector and have a knack for finding dirty old coins.

The "full bands" designation is not used with proof coins, as they are supposed to have them. It only applies to business strikes.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Well it is certainly better than a proof without full bands. $3.00 tops on the spend.

It is not uncirculated, that is a Proof strike coin. It is supposed to have full bands.

Proof dime not bad for a buck. Put it in a capsule, being careful not to touch the surfaces. FYI, all 1969S dimes were Proof issues, not issued for circulation.Someone broke up a Proof Set for this coin. Probably to harvest the Kennedy half.
