The Bank of England Museum in London has the new Charles III notes on display, and UK residents can obtain examples for face value by post from the Bank of England!

Social media crowd is posting their notes already (claim they're getting them from their ATM's right now).

Thanks for sharing @NumisRob

It would be very interesting to know where in England they got them.

Wait until the news report comes that someone's paid £200 for an AK47 or KC23 or some other number that's meaningless.

Now I wonder when a person from the US can get some of these first issue notes.

-just be patient (it's the impatient collectors who pay through the nose on ebay, etc). They'll get here but may take a bit of time

Haha so true! Oh wait, they're consecutive # notes? That's gotta be worth a premium!

A very quick ebay search turned up a £20 King Charles note for $76 US. And a £50 for $106 US.

I'll probably be in for a £5 whenever they become available.

I got my first Charles III Bank of England notes in the mail from the Bank of England. I sent some older notes to exchange.

The serial numbers didn't start again at AA01 - they appear to continue directly from the last QE2 polymer issues.

Have to ask, is it illegal for the models on UK Banknotes to smile?

Nice set of UNC notes @NumisRob!

Here is the answer given by the BoE for LAST QEII prefixes
£5: BC60
£10: EM54
£20: DM54
£50: AE80

The first prefixes for KCIII are these (according to a collector* on Numista);
£5: CA01 000001
£10: HB01 000001
£20: EH01 000001
£50: AJ01 000001

(*Not sure if this is confirmed by BOE or not but the QEII notes are supposed to be the prefixes according to the BOE)
