Good afternoon CCF, I have this penny for a while, and I would like to know if it is a small date, and if it has value. It weighs 3.10g. Thank you so much, and have a nice day

It is a small date, but you're looking for one with a D mint mark to be valuable.

That is correct, but it must be a Copper small date Denver cent not a zinc one.

You need to look for the 1982 Denver Small Date Copper Cent, not the 1982 Philadelphia Small Date Cent. Just a spender.

I have a 1982 D small date and it doesn't stick to a magnet. Is that good? I've only collected coins for 41 years, but am only starting to study them and learn.
Should I post a picture in a new thread? ( is this coin special? OK, I'll go ask Google)

OK, I checked out the picture to learn what a small date looks like. I didn't know to check the space to the rim!
