I recently bought a Lighthouse "Classic Grande" 3-ring binder (see link below) to hold my certified coins. The binder itself is OK. Sturdy and works fine. But the slipcase is so flimsy that it separated along one of the edges as soon as I took it out of the shipping box. This isn't what I expected given the $47 price tag.

Interesting. I've had some issues with my Grande binders (some rings don't close tightly), but never had a problem with the slipcases, which seem solid and tough to me.

I have looked into these and CAPS albums in the past. Those things are huge. I am surprised the binders hold up as well as they do. I will probably stick to Dansco for raw coins and Lighthouse boxes for my graded ones.

I bought my Lighthouse binders and slipcases about 7 years ago and they are holding up great. They seem really well made. I wonder if they have cheapened them since Covid. I would like to know because I have been thinking about buying a few more.

I bought a binder and slipcase once (cost me over $70.00 for them. the quality was fine, the slipcase was sturdy too. but they are HUGE - I gave mine away before I even opened the plastic wrap.
I go Dansco for all my 'display' coins now. smaller and easier to shelve up with out taking up vertical shelf space.

I also really like the Dansco albums.. The majority of my collection is housed in them. Aside from my typeset which is in an intercept shield, also good build quality & includes a slipcase. I will say having to purchase the Dansco slipcases separately is a pain but they look much nicer with the slipcases than without..
I've been collecting for a couple years... Favorite Coin's are Standing Liberty quarters, Working on my type set | Coffee, Corvettes, Coins & the CCF what could be better?

@Dearborn love the Better Homes cookbook and the respirator on the miscellaneous shelf.
