That 4 stuiver coin is about the size of a half dollar, but VERY thin. Probably not yet New World silver ...

For 1539 a trojak (3 groat) of the Polish city of Elbing:

As I've developed the saints theme in my collection, I am reminded of that saying from American baseball about "you can't tell the players without a scorecard."
Indeed, the female saint carring two others is Anne (mother of Mary) holding her daughter (Mary) and grandson (Jesus).
Her husband (according to tradition) was none other than the St. Joachim depicted on the famous Joachimsthaler (still missing from my collection).
Not sure if these two places were aware of the coin designs in the other place.
