A recent discussion in the How Far Back thread has resulted in an update to the gap list...
1464, 1462, 1457, 1454, 1446, 1414, 1409, 1408, 1407, 1385, 1384, 1382, 1381, 1367, 1363, (1361?,) 1360, 1356, 1350, 1349, 1347, 1346, 1344, (1343?,) (1342?,) 1341, 1340, 1339, 1337, 1336, 1331, 1330, 1328, 1309, (1307?), 1306, (1301?,) 1300, 1298, 1297, 1296, 1295, 1294, 1293, 1292, 1291, 1290, 1289, 1288, 1287, 1286, 1285, 1284, 1283, 1282, 1281, 1280, 1279, 1278, 1277, 1276, 1275, 1274, 1273, 1272, 1271, 1270, 1269, 1268, 1267, 1266, 1265, 1264, 1263, 1262, 1261, and if I hadn't lost count we should be at 1260 at the moment.
(...Yes, the 13th century had been really empty so far. My next entry is probably 1177; reportedly the date is just barely legible.)

Thx for updating the list @j1m. It served as a good reminder to me that I needed to look through my 13th Century coins to see if I could post anything. I think that this Dirham from the Seljuq of Rum will knock off 1291 AD as it is dated AH 690. Here is the numista link: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces153947.html

Quote: On the 1342/743 coin: AFAICT it's disputed whether this type is supposed to read 743 or 744, and/or whether in fact both dates exist. I can't read Arabic so I'd need to ask you for it anyway. Returning to the Juchid pul featuring the two headed eagle and some very awkward text. I asked a skilled Arabic reading person what he made of this. For my part, I thought that the bottom row two RH characters may be Uyghur word 'tut' (four). I doubt that a clear understanding is possible.

While looking at my old pics, found out that I apparently had an example of the same messy eagle type and never realized Not sure if it's on-topic for this thread, to be honest! I do hope it turns out to be. (I might have to look at some more examples to confirm the 690 AH; it's a lot harder for me to figure out what's going on with all these written-out dates.)

After a bit of a look, I think I see the "and ninety" (wa-tisein) I drew an extra loop near the left of the word which should not be there... I'll study it a bit more whan I have more time. Not sure of the mint, which is should be the next word anti-clockwise.

Thx @ttk! Stephen Album had listed this as coming from the Bayburt (Turkiye) mint.

Well, I am still using my woefully-outdated Second Edition from 1998, but for this coin, I purchased it directly from a SARC auction.
