Hello again,

This will be my last CC Morgan dollar for a little while, what do you grade this 1878cc and what grade do you think PCGS gave it?

I have added some oblique shots to better show the fields as they are fairly reflective.

Nice coin, ms 62-63? Did they detail it because of marks on neck?

MS63

difficult to call proof like surfaces from photos without any depth reference. typically this is done by setting the coin on end on a sheet of newsprint to determine how far in the reflection it can be read

Either 62 or 63 would not surprise.

MS-63, not PL, but an eye-appealing example.

The marks on the neck keep this one at MS62.

You guys seem quite split, PCGS gave it an MS62.

I am quite happy some of you thought it might have been a 63!

I think the two large hits on the neck pushed it over to the 62 grade.
