Got my shipping notification today as well, although when I checked the tracking number at usps.com it said they were still awaiting delivery from the shipper. Guess they just got a tracking number and printed out a label but haven't actually shipped it yet.

Quote: We've also seen plenty of times where they sell their initial batch and have to wait for more product to be assembled. See my conspiracy theory post above. If they have sold out of the "initial" mintage (number unknown) and going for a second round where are the privy marked coins being held and how are they being rationed and mixed in "randomly" and at what rate in relation to the current already minted? I'll let some statistician do the math but for the sake of argument are the privy marked coins locked up and 10 get thrown in for every 1,000 regular coins minted or . . . . . Anyone remember the McDonalds Monopoly game inside job mob run scandal? Wonder if anyone working at the "order fulfillment center" is aware of the secondary value of the 1794 or 230 and are "steaming" open envelopes?

The US Mint created a new lotto propaganda for future promotion in selling their products. Succeeded.

If they don't change their return policy, thousands of scratched off lotto tickets will be coming back. . .the next 6-9 weeks re: this treasure hunt offering will be telling. I ordered one yesterday, received the order acknowledgment & confirmation within a few hours. My shipping confirmation was in my email around 4:00pm this afternoon. USPS tracking indicates it should arrive Monday, 10/21. I'm guessing I can flip the unopened box for $140 - $150. . .

In 2003, I bought two boxes of Topps Chrome basketball cards. Opened every pack. Paid around $65.00 per box. If I had purchased a third box, left it sealed, I could easily get $10K for it. I think sealed 2024 Flowing Hairs will appreciate. Not to the level of the example I cite, but at least triple the issue price.
Think I'll wait to open mine.

There are sports card and comic book collectors. I have a few comic books signed by Stan Lee.
I really wish the silver flowing hair had been $1 with edge lettering, not a medal. I'm thinking of pulling $ out of savings, trying to buy the gold version. It depends how much they want. Gold spot price has gone up since the $50 gold proof eagles were released for $3,500. One oz proof gold eagles are now about 31% over spot. They are still available, a lot of money for many collectors. You can buy prior years proofs for less.

After the hype dies down you'll be able to get opened one for less than $150, likely close to mint price or less in a few months on ebay. Also watch the mint site, they sometimes have some left from cancelled orders or orders with improper payment etc, a few go back on sale.

Livingwater has a Very Good Point, that I See Many are Alike in thinking, We All Wish This was a Reeded Edged Coin. I am Sure People will be Following the U S Mint's Latest Attraction, While the Excitement is Awesome for The Coin Collecting Community, Very Usual for Anticipation to be Heightened Prior to a New Product release . Only This Release Has More than Just a Shiny Object that Caught Our Eyes. It seems the U S Mint were Adding " Incentives " Along the Way, However, I am Surprised they added So much, Privy Marks, Signed COA's.!!! When a New release is Offered The " Product " it self Should Create the Following, Long Before the release, We all Decided To take the Plunge or Not. In The American Silver Eagle Series 1986- To Date, ASE Collectors Are Simply waiting to Add Another Mint Marked Member to Build That Collection, Is this a One time Release, ? More to follow , ? My Point, The Mints Usually Depend on Those that Will Follow and Buy the Newer Release, The Medal or Coin Should Stand Alone in The Attraction, But I see These Latest Releases are Hyped More than Ever, To Attract More Collectors...... Collect Away...... The Hype has Clearly generated Interests, and New Must Have Collectibles for those Willing , Imagine Victor David Brenner's " Privy Marked 1909-S VDB Cents, 100...........
