Can some one show me the difference between Machine Doubling and DD. It seems as some places the coins look identical between MD and DD. But referred to as two different errors? Thanks

Thank you, the JT Stanton did not come up on my computer. The other did. It did clearify some matters. Such pickey matters that one may be worth thousands and the other worth face value?

Pretty amazing how one Lincoln 69-S can be worth tens of thousands, and the other just $.01?
The difference is one was made from a die that was dramatically doubled (and very rare). The other is just one of millions of damaged Lincoln cents from that year. JT Stanton's writeup is very good. It's a pdf/acrobat file. Sometimes it works better to save to your computer and launch from acrobat reader.
