I know it"s in horrible condition. This one is my lowball weight. I still haven't done the research on what the P Mint put out that year, but it definitely looks like a shadow of a person on the obverse

Agree--much post-strike damage. The coin didn't leave the striking chamber in that condition. Good photos!

Thanks for the help After 1000s of coins things. they all look the same. Side note... How do you tell if a 1946 nickel is partial silver?

You could take the suspected coin to a person with a XRF machine to determine if it is the real deal... And there would be no large mintmark above the building...

I don't have the MM there, & the patina looks like silver. Probably another miss call

PMD. And since no nickels in 1946 were struck on partial silver planchets, it won't be one. Wiehgt will also be a good way to tell. Compare its weight to a typical nickel coin.
